Workshop D Speaker - Positive Work Cultures Don't Happen on Accident | Wednesday, June 21st

Vernicca Wynter is an educational leader and entrepreneur with a passion for social + emotional intelligence and mindful leadership. She has had 15 years of experience as a leader guiding organizational change and creating initiatives for positive work environments in small and large public and private sector organizations. Vernicca graduated with a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and is an alumnae of Howard University and the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Communication Studies.  She is certified as a Social+Emotional Intelligence Coach and a trained group facilitator by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.  Vernicca specializes in social-emotional strategies and initiatives that impact professionals and organizational culture.


Workshop: Emotional Intelligence (EQ) + Intelligence Quotient (IQ) =Transformation.  Mindful leadership is being fully present and compassionate to self/others while creating a positive environment.  As entrepreneurs, it is important to actively utilize strategies that create a supportive culture, strong communication and feedback practices, and interpersonal relationships.  In doing so intentionally,  productivity & retention improve.  This actualizes Maya Angelou's statement, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
