Dr. Leon R. Jablow IV is a 1991 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Leon served for 22 years as a Surface Warfare Officer and Expeditionary Officer. He deployed around the globe in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions serving on cruisers, destroyers and minehunters and leading Sailors as a Division Officer, Department Head and Commanding Officer.
Transitioning from the Navy in 2012, Leon accepted a role as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for a government contracting service focused on security, training and risk management. He continued his career as an executive consultant serving clients across government, academic and commercial sectors. Leon supported clients in the areas of leadership development, training, organizational change management, decision-making, advisory services and research and analysis.
In 2020, in order to share his passion and experience in training involving leadership development and decision-making, he established his own consulting firm. Leon is the owner and president of IV Consulting Group / Academy Leadership, a management consulting firm focused on leadership development, coaching, organizational change management, advisory services and facilitation. Leon has also been an adjunct professor since 2014 working with graduate students in a leadership program focused on organizational management, communication, corporate culture, and teamwork. He serves as a board member of the Greater Orlando Organizational Development Network and with the Florida Association of Veteran-Owned Businesses.
Leon has a Doctorate in Leadership and Organizational Management, master's degrees in International Relations and National Security Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in History. He has published and presented both internationally and domestically on topics ranging from Executive Decision Making to Leadership. He is a published author, and a Prosci Certified Change Manager and Shipley Certified BD consultant.
Workshop: The session covers a framework for developing leaders that is focused on self-awareness, accountability, and reflection of emerging leaders. The framework enables leaders to understand the characteristics that they exhibit based on their profile across different dimensions and circumstances and helps leaders learn to capitalize on the energy involved when performing across the dimension. The framework was influenced by the development of leaders at the U.S. military service academies. A three-phase solution will be presented, that involves tools, techniques and concepts concerning leadership.
