Workshop B Speaker | Small Business Continuity Plan: Our Hurricane Michael Experience, and Successes! | Tuesday, June 20th

In her 20-year professional career since completing her Florida State University degree, Dana Kerigan excelled in the male-dominated world of global purchasing and supply chain. She received her B.S. in Merchandising but quickly distinguished herself by earning her C.P.M (Certified Purchasing Manager) designation and rose to VP Purchasing for Keyston Bros., the nation's largest distributor of wholesale fabrics for the automotive and marine markets.

Eight years ago, Dana made the decision to run a small business where she now serves as president of Kerigan Marketing Associates, Inc. Under her leadership, the official SBA Women-Owned Business has been named to the Seminole 100 list for two years and was selected to the Inc. 5000 for America's fastest-growing businesses by Inc. Magazine.

Throughout her career, she has served as a mentor to others as a certified literacy trainer for Adult Reading & Writing and GED prep and has also worked with organizations including Women's Domestic Violence Shelter. Former interns around the country, clients and friends describe Dana as a smart, caring professional with an engaging personality always willing to help others.

Workshop: According to a forecast by the NOAA, hurricane season is predicted to be above-normal, with a range of 14 to 21 named storms, of which 6 - 10 could become hurricanes, including 3 to 6 major storms. Hurricane season starts June 1, so now is the time to get your small business ready!

Having a robust Business Continuity Plan in place was our key to a fast recovery from Hurricane Michael. Our team could resume operations while fully remote, ensuring our client's business needs were accounted for. We not only survived, but actually thrived!
